Our Purna workshop May 30-June 1 was a great success! John and Aurora Davie did a phenomenal job of explaining their methods of yoga, and it was a wonderful learning experience for all of us. The practices they taught were a good basis for anyone from beginning student to instructor to incorporate into their own practice. Aurora's "snack" meditation called the mind and body back home, and brought our attention inward. John's explanation of the asanas was so simple and down to earth that everyone understood their meaning. Thank you to both John and Aurora for the expertise they brought to us, and the inspiration they gave to all of us. We hope they will come back and join us in the future.

Here are some of the comments from our workshop participants:

I was lucky enough to attend the Purna workshop last weekend. I had been worried that it might be too strenuous but was delighted to find not only great work on fine-tuning asanas we already practice but learning a few new ones in a respectful way. John and Aurora listened to our needs and even changed their game plan when they saw the need to add some needed back work. They encouraged questions and spent generous time answering them in helpful detail. Because of the time spent on breathing and "snack" meditation techniques I feel I am a more rounded Yoga practitioner. Mitra, thank you for providing such a wonderful experience. I can't wait for the next workshop.

John appears to be especially comfortable in his body. His instruction is relaxed with a notable absence of self-consciousness. Aurora radiates health and contentment. Both teachers were approachable and invited questions from the students creating an environment that enhanced the learning experience. Aurora taught the students several meditation techniques that can be used throughout the day or during a sitting meditation. Many of the techniques were aimed at concentrating the energies of the body into the heart center. Both John and Aurora spoke about consciously breathing in white light, which symbolizes positive, life giving energy. I enjoyed their use of visualization and believe this method can greatly deepen one's personal practice and understanding of yoga.

Thank you so much for hosting the workshop. John and Aurora were so amazing. Their gentle demeanor and knowledge made learning so easy. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and have already incorporated several of their tips into my daily practice. I really appreciated the gentle approach they took to the asanas. The explanations that they provided were very in depth, thorough, and understandable. The workshop has greatly enriched my practice and my teaching. Please keep me posted on all upcoming workshops, Namaste.
