Class Descriptions

Hatha Yoga - A heart centered practice that includes stretching, physical postures and breathing techniques for a gentle yoga practice

Beginner Series - A 6-week series for beginners to learn the fundamentals of yoga and how to combine breathing techniques and postures to unify the mind, body, and spirit.

Beginner 1 & 2 - A gentle meditative, slower pace class for people who are new to yoga. The focus will be on physical postures, breathing techniques and relaxation.

Level 1 - Also for beginners, introduces more challenging poses and builds on what was learned in beginning level one class.

Mixed Level - Open to all levels and includes mindful, slow floor poses, seated postures, spinal twisting, standing postures and deep breathing. Props will be used when needed. Great class for those new to yoga and the experienced student as well.

Yoga for Strength - Uses the power of your own muscles and the flow of breath to move the body through the postures. Blocks, straps, belts and balls will be used to gradually increase stamina, while maintaining the length and form of the pose.

Yoga for Back Care - Open to all levels, includes a gentle series of poses and breathing to help strength the back muscles and re-align the spine.

Yoga Flow - An energizing class for all levels, uses the breath to navigate the body through a series of postures, helping to control the mind and unify with the spirit.

Yoga Nidra - The literal translation of Yoga Nidra is Yogic Sleep. It is an ancient form of meditation that will take you into the deepest levels of relaxation while still remaining fully aware. In this deep state beyond ordinary waking consciousness, you naturally re-align with spirit, allowing you to effortlessly disengage from restrictive physical, mental and emotional patterning. Here, you are free to create a life that is an expression of higher consciousness, rather than acquired conditioning.
